It's time to introduce our colleague Loes!

Loes, could you introduce yourself?

‘I am Loes, Mae's mum, and I live with Stephan in Uden. I love doing fun things with friends, travelling and eating good food. During my studies in International Business and Languages, I lived abroad twice for six months, and that's where my love of travelling began.'

How did you end up at We R Asia?

‘I had already come across We R Asia on LinkedIn during my studies, and it had always stuck with me. When I saw a vacancy for a project manager at We R Asia, I decided to apply immediately. One thing led to another, and now here we are!’

What will you bring to the We R Asia team?

‘I like to get things done and, above all, to follow through. I work hard and don't beat around the bush. But I do believe there should be room for fun. I'm also a fairly down-to-earth person, so I'll be bringing that to We R Asia as well.’

What does a typical working day at We R Asia look like for you?

‘I always start around eight o'clock by looking at what's on my to-do list for the day. I always go through my projects, giving priority to China, because of course they only work in the morning due to the time difference. So in the morning, I mainly focus on projects. In the afternoon, I also work on projects, but mainly focus on customer contact. This can also take the form of lunch with a customer. Great fun! In addition to project management, I am also involved in Podio 3, the further development of our system. I test this regularly.’

What are you most looking forward to?

‘I am looking forward to building up a large customer base, to really working together with customers to develop great products that I can tailor to their needs and to contribute ideas to the product development process. I think it would be really cool to create something beautiful together with the customer.’

And finally, what is your favourite Asian meal?

‘You mean what isn't?! I have a favourite dish in every country. For example, I really like Pad Thai from Thailand. I love Pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup. You can also wake me up for Nasi Lemak from Malaysia. And of course, I love sushi!’
