Het corona virus

Zoals onze bedrijfsnaam, We R Asia, al doet vermoeden doen wij dagelijks zaken met- en in Azië. Om nog preciezer te zijn: het epicentrum van onze activiteiten ligt in China, waar de uitbraak van het Corona virus is. We hebben een vijftal collega’s in de stad Dongguan werken, maar ook tientallen partnerfabrikanten die in deze omgeving gevestigd zijn. We proberen altijd alles intern zo efficiënt en goed mogelijk op te tuigen en te optimaliseren, maar tegen zoiets als een Corona virus zijn we als bedrijf niet opgewassen. Het Corona virus heeft nadelige gevolgen op onze werkzaamheden, en daarom helaas ook op jouw aanvraag. Je aanvraag kan door de omstandigheden namelijk een vertraging van minimaal een week oplopen.

Wat is er aan de hand?

De Chinese overheid neemt momenteel het zekere voor het onzekere, en heeft daarom grote delen en steden binnen China afgesloten om verdere verspreiding te voorkomen. Met name de ernstig geïnfecteerde gebieden zijn benoemd tot quarantainegebieden. Het vervelende toeval wil dat bijna alle Chinezen de afgelopen drie weken het hele land zijn doorgereisd om bij hun familie te zijn tijdens het Chinese Nieuwjaar. Sommige van onze collega’s zitten voorlopig dus nog even ‘vast’ in hun geboortestad. Ook binnen de stad Dongguan zelf zijn een aantal wijken afgezet, dus de collega’s die na het Chinese Nieuwjaar al terug zijn in Dongguan kunnen niet op kantoor verschijnen.
Daarnaast heeft de overheid fabrikanten geboden om voorlopig tot 10 februari dicht te blijven, dus alle producties en verzendingen liggen in ieder geval tot die tijd stil.

  LET OP! Er wordt verwacht dat onze leveranciers op maandag 10 februari weer werkzaam zijn, maar hier kan nog geen garantie op worden gegeven. Volgende week zullen we hierover nadere informatie verstrekken.

Wat zijn onze maatregelen?

Al onze Chinese collega’s zorgen ervoor dat zij vanuit huis kunnen werken en proberen nauw in contact te staan met onze leveranciers. Echter zijn onze leveranciers momenteel niet altijd even goed bereikbaar, dus kunnen we eventuele vragen niet direct beantwoorden.

Hopelijk hebben we je hiermee voor nu voldoende weten te informeren.

Like our Company Name already suggests, we do business with- and in Asia on a daily basis. To be more accurate: our main activities are based in China, where the outbreak of the Corona virusis. Besides our five Chinese colleagues working in the city of Dongguan, we’ve got dozens of manufacturing partners based in these surroundings. 
We constantly try to improve an optimize our workflow and systems, but as of the Corona Virus, the consequences are beyond our control. Unfortunately the Corona Virus does have adverse effects on our business activities, as well as on your request. This means your request may be delayed for at least a week. 

What’s going on?

The Chinese government won’t take any risk with the virus. Big parts of China are secluded to prevent further spread of the virus. The seriously infected areas in particular are appointed as quarantine areas. It’s an unfortunate coincedence that almost every Chinese inhabitant has been travelling around the country the last three weeks to visit their family in their hometown for the celebration of the Chinese New Year. That means some of our Chinese colleagues still can’t leave their hometown because it’s a quarantine area. Even within de city of Dongguan some districts are secluded, so our colleagues Dongguan can’t even go to the office. The government has given the commandment to manufacturers to stay closed until at least the 10th of February. All the productions and deliveries are stopped until that time. 

WARNING! Our suppliers are expected to be back on Monday the 10th of February, but it can’t be guaranteed yet. We will provide more information about the situation next week. 

What are our measurements?

All our Chinese colleagues ensure they can work on remote. They try to stay in close contact to our suppliers. However, nog all our suppliers will be attainable this week, so in case you’ve got urgent questions about your request or delivery, it’s likely we can answer them next week.
